Do you Guarantee Odor Removal?
Yes. If your rug has no backing and you can see the pattern on the back of your rug. We can GUARANTEE Odor removal. If you have a tufted rug, a rug with a canvas-like backing or you cannot see the pattern on the back of the rug, we cannot guarantee 100% removal of odor. Tufted rugs, due to being held together with glue, much like a wall to wall carpet, cannot always handle a full immersion cleaning and deodorizer. On tufted rugs, we will do our best, however if severe , we will at times suggest replacement. Please see the page on Tufted rugs (link to tufted rug page)

Do I need a rug pad?
While most rugs benefit from having a rug pad, not all NEED a pad. The features of our padding includes: Certified Green, no odor or off gassing, 100% Recycled, works on Radiant heated flooring, wont stain or discolor your wood floor, can be washed and has a full warranty. The closed cell backing creates a moisture deterrent to protect your wood floor.
This is a question that many of our clients ask, so I thought we could cover the top reasons you should buy pad.
- To keep the rug in place and prevent you from slipping. Rugs without pads can wrinkle causing a tripping hazard. Other rugs are slippery, especially when on hard surfaces this too can be a slipping hazard. Our rug pad provides traction on both the floor side as well as the rug side to insure that this doesn’t happen.
- To give your rug support, acting much like a “shock absorber” on a car. As we walk on the rug and place furniture on our rugs the fibers are being crushed into the hard surface of the flooring. Over time this can damage the fibers. Having a pad lessens the impact. The thinner or more wear you rug has the more important a pad becomes.
- To act as a moisture barrier between rug and floor. Our pad provides protection to your expensive hard wood floors from spills or pet accidents on the rug.
- To provide some protection from insects. While not why most people would buy a pad, none the less, the pad does provide a barrier from the floor to the rug.
The pad that we sell in our shop is custom cut to fit your rug. It has a felt like substance on top to grip your rug and a 100% natural rubber in a hexagon pattern to allow air to circulate underneath. There is no glue used so there is no risk of damage to your flooring.
